Learn from a chiropractor the correct posture at your workstation

The Pandemic of 2020 has created neck and back pain for millions of Americans who have been sheltered in place working at home. The inability to sit at an ergonomic workstation in their offices has forced people to sit slouched over their work laptops and cellphones while seated at kitchen tables, couches, lawn chairs, and beds.  There is minimal support for the neck and back in these positions which puts a tremendous amount of stress on the body. There is terrible stress on the back of the head, shoulders, upper back, lower back, and hip regions when people are working for long periods of time in these awkward positions. The symptoms being experienced by patients are headaches, fatigue, shoulder pain, low back pain, sciatica, numbness, and tingling in the hands to name a few. The solution has always been to correct the posture while sitting at an ergonomic chair positioned at a well-designed workstation.  This has not been possible. In addition, the workday has always been structured with timely breaks for lunch, coffee breaks, meetings, and the ability to destress during a commute. The shelter-at-home situation has eliminated the ability to work in the correct position and dramatically increased the pain that people are experiencing. Chiropractic can help to reduce the pain and inflammation and restore the proper posture of the spine. The Chiropractor can also help to educate patients on the proper positions to prevent further damage to the bodies.
